Get Paid to Travel Delivering Recreational Vehicles

Your Retired, but sitting around the house isn’t as much fun as you thought it would be. Or maybe the little lady has a couple years of work before she can retire and join you. Or better yet, your both retired and want to get out of the house together and see some of the country.

Have I got a deal for you. Recreational Vehicles have never been more well-liked, sales are shooting through the roof. As the Baby Boomer generation finds themselves with disposable income and the time to travel, they are buying RV’s at a record trudge. The majority of these rigs are built in Indiana, though there are manufacturers on both the east and west soar as well. These RV’s need to be delivered to the dealers, spread all over the country, so they can be sold. Guess what, it’s normal guys like you and me that do that hauling.

A Commercial Driver’s License will be required, and you’ll need a 3/4 ton or 1-ton pickup. That’s right the pickup you probably have sitting in the driveway is all you need. OK, there are a few other small things needed, but the pickup is the biggest item. You’ll need an Equalizer Hitch Setup, so you can pull great travel trailers. And you’ll need a fifth wheel hitch mounted in the bed of your truck if your going to pull 5th wheel trailers. As you’ll be considered a commercial vehicle, things like reflector triangles, fire extinguisher, and log books will be required as well.

Maybe you objective want to deliver motor homes. Then no pickup is needed, a small car with a tow bar is used by most to supply their return trip. If you want you can hop a bus for the ride home instead of towing a car. I knew one gentleman who was a retired airlines worker and could flit free any time. He unbiased caught a cab to the nearest airport and was on his way home. How ever you do it, getting home is your responsibility.

Recreational Vehicles aren’t the only thing being delivered across the country, original buses, ambulances, fire trucks, mobile cranes, any specially made vehicle that is sold through a dealer of some sort will need a way of getting there.

I’ve got your interest, so where are these job opportunities? There are a bunch of them, drive away companies are all over the set. If you live anywhere near a manufacturer you’ll gather their transportation people pretty end by. The Internet is your best research tool. Here’s a short list of some I found in a matter of a couple minutes.

www.qualitydriveaway.com
www.autodriveaway.com
www.auto-van-rv-delivery.com

This is just a few, there are many more out there, you just need to modify your search parameters to find them. Most companies don’t have mandatory dispatch, what this means is, if you don’t want to take a load you can pass it on to the next driver. If you only want to take a lunge now and then, not staying on the road continually some of the companies will only require you to take one load a month to be maintained on their books.

Now to get down to brass tacks, how distinguished money will you make. This isn’t a profession that will execute you rich. You will make some money above your expenses, but not enough to live on. That’s why its most often done by retired people. It’s assumed you already have a retirement income and this will be a little extra additional income. The main draw is it will get you out of the house, and take you probably to places in the country you haven’t been to before. And the best fragment someone else is paying for you to go.
